I’m very proud to share that I have been appointed as a member of the advisory board of ENFIT, the International Association Supply Chain Safety, and I’m particularly grateful to Hans-Dieter Philipowski, President, who introduced me to this organization. Hans-Dieter recently summarized the purpose of ENFIT as following:
“14 years ago, ENFIT was founded. Unpackaged raw materials and food are exposed to enormous risks during transport in containers, tanks, bulks, IBCs or refrigerated vehicles. For most of producers, the transport is a black box with unknown risks. Cross contamination with bacteria, mold prions or other contaminants such as wood, plastic, glass or metal, are commonplace. Transport orders are often issued only according to the price, but not according to the quality. So far, there are no transparence standards for it. Our common goal: We develop European and international standards (Guideline Food Safety in the Supply Chain) inform and advise the stakeholders, train the people involved in the supply chain and certify cleaning system according to the ENFIT HQF standard (High Quality Food Cleaning) Our members, the Advisory Board and the Board invite you to an exchange of experience. Write to us at info@enfit.eu Do you want to become a member? Let us know. You are welcome!”
